Aldinga Beach B-7 School

Aldinga Beach B-7 School sits on Kaurna land and we acknowledge the Kaurna people and their connection to this land and honour elders past and present. Our school is committed to authentic Reconciliation with our First Australians.

Aldinga Beach B-7 School is an innovative place to learn where the values of Excellence, Respect, Caring and Connection motivate learners, families and staff to be the best that they can be.

We develop critical thinkers who are resilient problem solvers that are ready to take on the challenges and opportunities of the 21st century. Every child is seen as competent and capable and we work with our entire community to form powerful teams to support all learners. We nurture powerful connections to self, others and learning, instil the power of positive choices, build resilience to try and try again until you succeed and we ensure that technology is used as a tool to accelerate learning for every child.

We acknowledge that learning occurs in many ways and in many contexts and provide opportunities for learners that include SAPSASA athletics, football, netball, hockey, soccer, volleyball and rugby as well as opportunities in the arts such as a choir that performs at the Festival of Music every year,  our  learners are regular contestants in the National Wakakirri Dance and Story Telling competition and exhibit in the Royal Adelaide Show Fine Arts competition. We have a thriving mentor program that is completely volunteer based and provides our learners with unique experiences including film making, photography , art, woodwork, scientific research, Tai Chi, Bike maintenance and Chess.

Our learners grow, harvest, prepare and share their own food, they learn through play, they design and create inventions with our 3D printers and laser cutters, broadcast our school news and events from our very own Radio program and use our local scrub, beaches and Ochre cliffs as places for learning about our First Australians. We are a school that sees learning in all of its contexts.

At Aldinga we relentlessly work towards our school vision to create a learning community, where we work together to be the best that we can be and  continually strive  to:

  • Create positive relationships to become active community members.
  • Strengthen skills and build pathways to become global citizens.
  • Equip children to be powerful learners in a safe, supportive environment.
  • Encourage a sense of fun and play, to nurture, educate and develop a culture of success.
